Secure Download

Open the file
Tap the download notification, or open the Files / Downloads app and tap the APK file.
Allow installation
If Android asks, tap “Settings” and turn on “Allow from this source” for your browser or file manager, then go back.
Install
Tap “Install”. If Google Play Protect shows a warning for an app outside the Play Store, review it and continue only if you trust this source.
Open the app
When installation finishes, tap “Open”. You can turn “Allow from this source” off again afterwards.
Updating? Install the new APK over the old one — your data is kept as long as the app is signed with the same key.
